I’m looking for a photo as a child my late mum Josephine Commins from upper st Bridget’s place she went to Covent of mercy and born 1932 so I’m hoping there is a classroom photo and or holy communion around 1939/40 I’m told the local photographer would have been Farrell Photography Woodquay. Thank you
WALSH/ CONNELLY/HERRITY/CAHAN OR COYNE ANCESTORS.
I have Walsh and Connelly in my ancestory from Oughterard area. John Walsh/Welsh married Mary Connelly. I’d be interested in knowing Peggy and Bridgets ancestors. Unfortunately I don’t know birth or marriage dates at present. Their son John was born abt 1835/43 in Ireland. It’s possible they had a son Peter as he witnessed John’s marriage to Bridget Herrity (born Ireland) in Scotland. John and Bridgets children remember visiting family in Oughterard area as children. I’m determined to find my ancestors and hope someone can help disclose the information I can’t find.
Can anyone tell me about Mary Naughton in this photo? I had an Aunty of that name from Carrowmoreknock. Her sister was Norah.
My Aunty Peggy is in the back row, she died aged about 15, her brother Michael died aged 7. My lovely Aunty Sarah Anne Healy, Nee Walsh. included in some other children’s photos passed away just 2 months ago, aged 95. Some make it , some don’t ! RIP all the Walsh’s from Oughterard.
My Auntie May Naughton is in this photo before she went to America My Mother was Elizabeth Naughton. There was also John and Bill Naughton and the youngest was Delia. If any other pictures are available I would be grateful to see them
