Colman King was born on the 25th March 1896 in Farravaun, Oughterard, Co. Galway

Educated in Ireland and was first assigned in 1923 to Immaculate Conception in Buhl Idaho. Among other assignments, he was pastor of St. Anthony’s in Pocatello 1928-1939 and pastor of St. Rita’s in Kellogg, Idaho 1950-1970, after which he retired.

Fr. Colman died 23 September 1973 in Dublin and is buried in Kilcummin Cemetery, Oughterard with his parents Edmond & Margaret (Mullen) King and brother Peter.
