Second award for our website

We are delighted to announce that this website has won the the award for Innovation at the Community Archives and Heritage Group Group’s annual conference at University College London in June this year. This was supported by the  Archives and Records Association of the U.K. Ireland {A.R.A.}, the leading professional body in the field.
This website was also awarded a Galway County Heritage award, for the Connemara Area, at the beginning of the year

The A.R.A reported;

The Oughterard Heritage website merges images from the past and the present to illustrate the changes in the local urban landscape of this small town in County Galway.  The judges considered the technique ‘inspirational’ and ‘welcoming’
