Nora was born in Magheramore, Oughterard on the 27th June 1924, daughter of Martin & Bridget (O’Toole) Darcy, Magheramore.
Nora trained as a Nurse in the Central Hospital Galway in 1942, she used to cycle home every Friday evening and return to the Nurses home on Sunday evening.
Nora passed away in 1987, she is buried in Kilcummin Cemetery, alongside her husband Stephen McDonagh of Billamore.
