1924 New England Gaelic Football Championship team

The team was presented with Championship Medals by Boston Mayor James Curley. Mayor Curley’s father Michael immigrated from Oughterard, Ireland and settled in Roxbury, where he met Curley’s mother, also from County Galway.
John Joe D’Arcy (Captain ) and his brother Michael both played on the Oughterard team at the County Junior Final August 24, 1919 at Carrogan, Headford.
