Hello Norah: Members of my grandfather’s family lived in Cloosh from 1870 to the mid-1950s and our roots there may stretch back to even earlier days. Thank you for this. I am interested in this 1853 St. George Estate sale. My great great grandfather William Kelly is mentioned as a purchaser. I have been researching his story for a while. Financial curcumstances led to the eventual re-sale of the property (Clooshgereen) in 1864, if anybody is interested, I have that information.i have wondered if any of his Kelly family stayed in the area after the sale.
