Meet the Clancy's

In May 2023, Jim Clancy & his wife Kathy visited Oughterard from St Louis, Missouri. Jim was in search of birth and baptismal records of his great-grandfather Michael Clancy.

Michael was born April 11, 1865. His parents are Patrick Clancy (1827-abt 1880) and Catherine Sullivan (b.1835). Michael immigrated to the United States in 1884 and eventually found his way to St Louis, MO where he served in the US Army from 1885-1890.

Patrick and Catherine Sullivan had many children.

Recently Jim sent a scanned copy of the wonderful book Meet the Clancy’s 1654-1997 compiled by the late Phyl Clancy R.S.M. to share on this website.
