Working together for our heritage

Oughterard Heritage is a member of the Irish Community Archive Network (iCAN) a group of community-led websites dedicated to showcasing the local history of Ireland.

Established by the National Museum of Ireland in 2008, iCAN is working with community volunteers across Ireland, helping them to establish and manage their own digital archives in partnership with the Heritage Council and participating local authority Heritage Officers.
