To the right of the hotel was the home of my great uncle Pat Naughton and his wife May. Pat was the boatman for many of the guests at the hotel. The hotel was popular with the the owners of the famous British shoe makers Lilley & Skinner. One of their catchs was on display in the Hotel Bar.
